When you buy decaffeinated coffee, check the label for naturally decaffeinated. Natural Decaffeinated Coffee has been processed with a natural solvent, ethyl acetate, which is found in coffee. Other solvents used, such as methylene chloride, may be harmful to the body.
The most important factor, in processing decaffeinated coffee, is the selection of green beans and competent roasting. This should produce a high quality flavor, removing 97% of the caffeine from the beans.
